Did you know that Brookvale earned OVER $1000.00 this year from everyone participating in the Boxtops program?!! Yeah!! Let’s keep it going!!!

This is an easy and quick way to earn FREE boxtops for Brookvale Elementary! Just click the link, make sure you choose Brookvale as your school first then “like” boxtops to earn 5 free boxtops for our school.

And don’t forget to keep clipping and saving those boxtops all summer. We will kick off the next school year with a great contest in September! Keep a look out for more info to come.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6^th–10th. Help make your teacher feel appreciated by bringing these tokens for each day of the week:

• Monday, May 6^th: Bring your teacher a needed school supply (Post-it Notes, Sharpie markers, pencils, etc.)
• Tuesday, May 7th: Bring a note or card for your teacher saying what you appreciate about them
• Wednesday, May 8th: Bring a sweet treat for your sweet teacher
• Thursday, May 9th: Bring a ream of paper for your teacher
• Friday, May 10th: Bring a $5.00 Target gift card for your teacher

Thank you! 

Can you sing, dance, act, play an instrument, tell a joke, or do something extraordinary? Show off your talent to the school in the 2013 Spring Talent Show on Friday, April 26th. There will be both a daytime performance (dress rehearsal/school assembly) and an evening performance.

Permission forms are due on Monday, March 25th. Forms must be turned in to Michelle Soares in person in the office between 8:10 and 8:30am.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6th-10th!

We have wonderful things planned for the teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week and we need YOUR help to show them how much we care! DONATE raffle items to the office (gift cards, school supplies, etc), or help us out with food or time!

Here are our plans:

• Monday: Farmer’s Market Day at first recess (fresh fruit, veggies, baked goods, fresh juices at an outdoor “market” in the staff room).
• Tuesday: Coffee Bar Day (we use Keurig machines to serve coffee, tea and hot chocolate).
• Wednesday: Waffle Bar Day before school and at first recess (make fresh waffles with various toppings).
• Thursday: Potluck Luncheon and Raffle (bring potluck items to make a wonderful luncheon!)
• Friday: Dessert Fountain Day (chocolate fountains and various fruits, cookies, and cakes to dip).

We are looking for help in both donations (food, supplies, raffle items) and time. This is a big week of events and we could use all the help we can get! If you can help please email Rebecca Christman at rlchristman@comcast.net and let us know how you can help (time, donate items, etc). Also look for flyers and sign up sheets in your Thursday folder. Food Truck Mafia will roll up to Brookvale at 4:30pm, just in time for families to grab some dinner before the Open House on Tuesday night.
