February 21st – Lunar New Year Celebration Sing-a-long

Lunar New Year is around the corner. It is one of the most important festivals for people in China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam and Mongolia. 2018 will be the Year of Dog!
We invite everyone to a sing-a-long in the morning of Wednesday, February 21st, from 8am to 8:10am. The song “Gong Xi Gong Xi”, loosely translated to “Congratulations Congratulations,” is an old Chinese new year celebration song. The melody is very easy to follow. We will sing it in Chinese  first and then English. Chinese part is a bit tricky for non-Chinese speakers but every one can join the second part. The goal is to have fun together as the Brookvale community.
If your kids have Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, or Mongolian costumes, February 21st is the perfect time to wear them. Otherwise, red jackets, red sweaters, red dresses, red skirts—are all great!
Similar to our Diwali flash mob dance, we will host a couple of group practice sessions during the weekend. Please join “Lunar New Year Committee” in Konstella for more details.
